Warehouses

Manage merchant pickup locations used when quoting deliveries.

A warehouse represents a location owned by the authenticated merchant. A quote can use it as the pickup (warehouseId) or as the delivery destination (destinationWarehouseId). Quote requests can use only warehouses belonging to that merchant.

Warehouses are optional for pickups: you can also send a custom pickupLocation with each quote. See Delivery flow.

Warehouse status

Warehouses have one of two states:

  • ACTIVE — available for new delivery quotes, as a pickup or a destination.
  • DISABLED — retained in the account but unavailable for new quotes.

Filter the list using a query parameter:

GET /warehouses?status=ACTIVE

Location metadata

Provide coordinates and a human-readable address. Longitude is lng; latitude is lat.

Deletion can be rejected

A warehouse cannot be deleted after transfers have been associated with it, whether it was their pickup or their destination. Disable it instead when preserving historical deliveries is required.

Warehouses are not sandboxed

Test and live credentials share the same warehouses. Creating, editing, or deleting a warehouse with test credentials changes the real warehouse.

Access isolation

Fetching, updating, or deleting another merchant's warehouse returns 403 UNAUTHORIZED. Melo derives the merchant from the access token; clients never submit a merchant ID.
